Avocado -berry smoothie

1 large Avocado -  chopped
6-7strawberries or frozen mixed berries
1/2 cup orange juice/mik
2 tsp sugar/honey




Blend all the ingredients in the blender for 30 seconds till they are smooth - if using fresh berries , add 2-3 cubes of ice.





Naan Pizza

This is a favorite recipe of my kids and something they can themselves do it.

Ingredients :

2 naans  ( You can get them in any superstore)
1 can Hunt's pizza tomato paste or ketchup
1 cup of  grated Kraft Tex-Mex cheese

For toppings 
Pepperoni,ham,cooked chicken,veggies like pepper, onions .mushrooms



Assemble naan ,spread tomato paste and your choice of toppings with cheese. Preheat oven at 350F and bake it for 10-15 minutes. If kids want to try this recipe, you can also heat it in the microwave for 1 minute .

Tarragon Carrots and Peas


4t butter or margarine
4 shallots or green onions
2 lbs mini peeled carrots
1/4 c white wine or chicken broth
1 t taragon dried
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 pkg Frozen peas 10 oz
1/4c fresh chives, chopped
In a large skillet over medium heat melt 2 tbsp butter.
Add onions, cook until softened , add carrots , wine, tarragon
salt and pepper.
Cover over medium-low heat, cook until tender aobut 10 minutes
Add peas and remaining butter and chives .
Continue stirring until peas are warm.
